FOunder
Chanelle Wilson fell in love with wine while living in South Africa. Through the years, sharing a bottle with her friends became a social highlight at special occasions. Sharing a bottle with her friends became a social highlight at special occasions. She also enjoyed a glass after work to wine down.
The idea for The Wine Down came to her in late 2021 and combines her love for wine, education, and inclusion. Chanelle is a Sommelier, certified through Court of Master Sommeliers and Wine and Spirit Education Trust. She is a proud Roots Fund scholar and a African American Vintners Association and Napa Valley Wine Academy scholarship recipient. Chanelle is excited to bring her passion and excitement to your wine experiences and to the wine scene in Philadelphia and looks forward to opening a wine bar in the near future. There's always time to turn up and to wine down.
